Payal is a contemporary mixed media artist based in Aberdeen, Scotland, working primarily in texture art and 3D sculpture. Alongside these, she creates mandalas as a meditative form of art — a practice as much about presence as it is about pattern.
For Payal, art is a way of exploring self-expression. Each piece grows out of personal experience, becoming an outlet for keeping a positive approach to life, with symbolism woven in every so often to give a work its quiet, deeper layer of meaning.
Her practice moves between two distinct worlds. On one side, bold textured artworks in black, gold, and rich colour — pieces built for luxurious, dramatic, modern maximalist spaces. On the other, 3D sculpture art in soft pastel tones, including botanical and dreamy abstract forms, designed to bring an instantly positive, dreamy, elegant feeling to minimalist interiors. Two palettes, two moods, one artist moving fluidly between them.

OUR STORY
How It Began
Payal's art practice began as an extension of her own emotional journey — a way of working through life's different experiences, one piece at a time. Over time, she noticed something profound: the process itself was healing. Art had become her way of staying grounded, positive, and connected to herself.
That realisation changed everything. Payal made the decision to leave her career in banking to become a full-time artist — a leap she took for deeply personal reasons, and one she's grateful for every day. It gave her the chance to turn a long-held dream into reality: creating a space where her community could experience art and mindfulness together.
She practiced these art forms and mindfulness techniques herself for years, then began hosting workshops at various venues before finally opening her own studio — a home for Payal's Art Expression.

Our Values
Art has had a profound impact on Payal's own mental well-being, and that experience is what fuels her passion for sharing these techniques with others. Payal's Art Expression exists to help people slow down, reconnect, and let their inner self speak.
Here, creativity becomes meditation, expression becomes therapy, and people discover a deeper sense of peace and joy. It's not just about creating art — it's a gentle return to yourself.
Our workshops are curated to nurture mindfulness, reduce stress, and awaken dormant creativity, blending artistic technique with therapeutic principle so participants can connect with their deeper emotions and come away feeling calmer and happier.
This space is for everyone — whether you haven't picked up anything creative since school, you've always believed art "isn't for you," or you simply have some free time and are looking for a new hobby without knowing where to start. There's no experience required. Just a willingness to show up.
